35-year-old Italian killed in Mexico with her partner, suspicions about narcos

A 35-year-old Italian originally from Favaro Veneto, in the province of Venice, but resident in Mexico for years, was found lifeless together with his partner in Ocotlán de Morelos. Pamela Codardini and Juan Yair, 29, ran a shop in the Mexican town.

The double murder

The double murder – he reports The Gazzettino – it happened in the late afternoon of Saturday 27 January. The bodies were found in the tobacco shop run by the couple. There are also traces of a shooting on site, probably carried out by a commando. The ambush could be linked to a settling of scores between drug trafficking groups, of which Yair was probably part. The killers would first have killed the 29-year-old, then they would have reached and killed the woman who would have taken refuge in the back room after witnessing the scene.

Ex-husband killed in 2013

In 2013, again in Mexico, Pamela Codardini’s husband, Alex Bertoli, a chef originally from Capriva del Friuli (Gorizia) who ran a pizzeria with her, was killed. He was beaten to death with a stick and then burned alive.
