A Murder at the End of the World, everything you need to know about the mystery series

A Murder at the End of the World is enjoying enormous success, thanks to a very succulent mystery plot, a stellar cast that brings together Emma Corrin (the actress who plays Princess Diana in the fourth season of The Crown) and the Hollywood star Clive Owen, and many other reasons (which we will analyze together in this article).
Corrin stars as Darby Hart, while Clive Owen steps into the role of Andy. Between an amateur detective from Generation Z, a murderer, twists and juicy details, there are many reasons for the resounding success of this show. And all very valid.
A Murder at the End of the World is a miniseries that debuted last November 14th on Disney+ (also visible on Sky Glass, Sky Q and via the Now Smart Stick app).

Emma Corrin is the protagonist, aka Darby Hart. She is a Generation Z amateur detective, and a very skilled hacker. She and eight other people are invited by a reclusive billionaire to a fascinating and mysterious location. The invitation is for an “exclusive retreat”. But suddenly one of the nine guests will be found dead, and it is at that point that Derby will have to do everything to prove that it was murder. The investigator’s time is limited as she must quickly uncover the truth before the murderer strikes again.
A story that is very reminiscent of those born from the pen of the great mystery master, Agatha Christie. The scheme which envisages the same place in which a multiplicity of different characters are invited by a mysterious host, in fact, is precisely what we could define as “Christie’s scheme” (mimicking the “Propp scheme”, the scheme applicable to Russian fairy tales and, more generally, all Western-style fables, fairy tales and stories).
A Murder at the End of the World is created and directed by Brit Marling and Zal Batmanglij.
