“In Puglia we chose to immerse ourselves in the beauty of the Ionian coast, filming in some of the most evocative coves of Porto Selvaggio and Gallipoli, to tell the story of the summer of 1990 and the events that forever marked the lives of the protagonists,” they say Natalie Foffi and Camilla Solombrino, Location Manager and Location Manager Assistant of the television series A summer ago

“The bright colors typical of the Apulian sea and sky and the warm breezes that ruffle the hair of our protagonists emphasize the idea of an endless summer, creating a sort of permanent holiday that is only broken with the disappearance of the young girl” say Natalie Foffi and Camilla Solombrino, Location Manager and Location Manager Assistant of the television series A summer ago

“In Rome, however, the main challenge was to revive the Castel Fusano campsite, a place now deserted and disused. Here we wanted to represent both the summer of 1990, when the protagonists were teenagers and spent their days camping, and today, through the images of a renewed nature and of a fire, which actually occurred accidentally in the campsite, which erased every trace of the past, or almost”, continue Natalie Foffi and Camilla Solombrino. “Great importance was also given to the ‘modern day’ settings in the Roman territory: elegant but at times dark locations to create a mysterious and engaging atmosphere. The locations were chosen with the aim of recreating the atmosphere of suspense and mystery that permeates the entire series, highlighting the contrasts between the two eras that are intertwined in the plot” explain Natalie Foffi and Camilla Solombrino, Location Manager and Location Manager Assistant of the television series A summer ago
