“Acea Scuola”, a multimedia journey aimed at students to promote the culture of sustainability

Monday 6 February the second stage

The second stage of the edition starts on Monday 6 February ‘Acea Scuola’ 2023, the educational project created to make young people and students aware of the issues of environmental sustainability. This year the initiative, which is part of a training course conceived over twenty years ago by the Acea Group, has been included in the “Map of the Educating City 2022/2023” of the Rome Department of Education, Training and Work, and is structured around the Acea EcoVillage, an interactive, dynamic and stimulating platform that can be used by students to play, learn and reflect on environmental and ecological issues.

The project – which in 2022 met with considerable success with 25,000 connected users – is aimed at students of the second cycle of primary and lower secondary schools in Rome and the Metropolitan City. Some schools have organized face-to-face sessions to carry out the educational, which will then be open to all from 20 February to 3 March 2023 on the dedicated digital platform. Leading this edition will be Biagio Venditti and Francesca La Cava, two of the protagonists of the Netflix series “Di4ri”, who will accompany students through videos, quizzes and insights into the environmental issues affecting our planet.

Five macro thematic areas of the Acea EcoVillage which can be accessed from the digital platform: PPiazza del Riciclo, Belvedere of Biodiversity, Climate Station, Water Park and Energy Bridge. Each location includes an interactive video in which the two young people will address the most current issues of environmental sustainability: circular economy, biodiversity, climate emergency, water protection and energy transition. It will also be an opportunity to introduce best practices, projects and the technologies deployed by the Group to contribute to the creation of a greener planet, especially for future generations.
