Gwyneth Paltrow cleared up the confusion after the backlash he suffered after showing off his wellness routine.
The Shakespeare In Love actress has addressed claims she was endorsing a “restrictive” diet following her appearance on The Art Of Being Well podcast.
“I think it’s important to let everyone know that I was doing a podcast with my doctor, so this is a person that I’ve been working with for over two years to treat some chronic things,” Gwyneth explained in a March 17 interview. video posted to her Instagram stories. “I’ve had COVID for a long time, and the way it manifests for me is very high levels of inflammation over time.”
The 50-year-old clarified that she has worked with podcast host Dr. Will Cole, a functional physician, to “really focus on foods that are non-inflammatory.”
“This is based on my medical results and the extensive tests I’ve done over time,” said the Oscar winner. “This was a transparent look at a conversation between myself and my doctors, it’s not meant to be advice to anyone else. It really is what worked for me. It’s been very powerful and very positive.”
Several dieticians disapproved of the diet of Paltrow following the release of the March 13 episode of the podcast featuring the Goop founder.
However, the Oscar winner clarified things on her Instagram:
“This is not to say that you eat this way, all day every day,” he added. “By the way, I eat a lot more than just bone broth and vegetables. I eat full meals, and I also have plenty of days to eat whatever I want and have chips and whatever. But my bottom line has really been to try to be healthy and eat foods that really calm down the system.
