The official trailer is out AKA, the Netflix thriller film starring French actor, sports manager and former footballer Éric Cantona. It will be released on April 28 on Netflix and will show the former Manchester United footballer Eric in an unprecedented role in an action thriller film in which a special agent will find himself faced with a moral dilemma.
It is an intense action film in which the special forces agent who will go undercover in a criminal organization is played by Alban Lenoir, a former stuntman who has already appeared in the films Angel Face, Bad Weed, Shrimp for Everyone, Stray Bullet And Bigbug. His character will unexpectedly make friends with the boss’s little son.
The special agent, usually inflexible and iron moral, will find himself faltering at a crossroads. The moral dilemma she will have to face derives from that unexpected relationship with the child.

A raw thriller that tells the birth of feelings as unexpected as they are intense

To direct AKA there is Morgan S. Dalibert, who also worked on the screenplay together with the film’s protagonist, Alban Lenoir.
The cast sees alongside the two protagonists, Lenoir and Cantona, also Sveva Alviti, Saïdou Camara, Noé Chabbat, Thibault de Montalembert, Lucille Guillaume, Vincent Heneine, Kevin Layne, Alban Lenoir Adam Franco, Nathalie Odzierejko and Philippe Résimont.

Eric Cantona has been involved in French cinema since the beginning of the 2000s

Nicknamed King Eric or The King, Eric Cantona is mainly remembered for his past in Manchester Utd, a team in which he played from 1992 to 1997 (the year in which he retired, not yet 31 years old). He is universally recognized as the protagonist of the sporting renaissance of the Manchester club in the 1990s.
After retiring from competitive activity, Cantona dedicated himself to French cinema, first as an actor and then also as a director. His debut in the seventh art took place as an interpreter, then in 2002 he sat on the chair director directing a short film entitled Apporte-moi ton amour.

Not only French cinema: Cantona has also acted in Hollywood films

Outside the borders of his native France, Cantona played the role of the French ambassador in the film Elizabeth, starring Cate Blanchett. And even if within the borders of his nation, we remember that the former footballer also starred in the French film Le Deuxieme soufflé alongside none other than Monica Bellucci.

In 2008 he returned to Manchester as producer and actor on the film My friend Eric by Ken Loach, a film dedicated to Manchester Utd fans.
Since his retirement Cantona has been featured in several commercials, mostly for Nike. He was in the first commercial together with Ronaldo, Paolo Maldini, Rui Costa, Luís Figo, Patrick Kluivert and Edgar Davids, when they have to face the forces of Evil in an arena similar to the Colosseum.
In 2014 he starred with Mads Mikkelsen in the Danish western The Salvationdirected by Kristian Levring and presented out of competition at the Cannes Film Festival.
The video for the single was released on January 31, 2020 Ounces by singer Liam Gallagher, starring Cantona as a ruler (with Gallagher playing his butler and chauffeur).
He also appeared in the 2014 film The Salvation ee in the 2020 TV series Armed Hand Workthe latter release on Netflix.
