“The operation is part of Sace operations of strategic importance in terms of internationalization”
Bper Banca and Sace support the development plans of Amber, an Italian company specializing in the trading of cereals. The bank has disbursed a credit line of 14 million euros, assisted by a guarantee from Sace, which will contribute to the company’s growth projects. This was communicated in a note, which specifies how “the transaction falls within Sace’s operations of strategic importance in terms of internationalization, as the credit line will be used by Amber for the payment of foreign suppliers of durum wheat, wheat tender, barley and corn, destined for subsequent export. Among the main supplier countries are: Canada, the Netherlands, Australia, USA, Greece, Hungary, Romania and Switzerland”.
The bank’s intervention, finalized by the Abruzzo Molise Business Center of the Central East Territorial Department and by the Global Transaction Service of Bper Banca, is aimed at supporting the Company in its business development plan: it will be used for the purchase of wheat and cereal products from place through export operations on the main international markets. The credit line to support working capital, revolving for 18 months, is the most flexible solution studied by Bper Banca, capable of allowing Amber to seize the best conditions on the markets for the purchase of cereal products at the right time. Amber, a company with operational headquarters in Naples, today represents one of the main Italian groups active in Italy in the cereal sector. The company has significantly increased its market share over the years thanks to its own sales network and through a process of external growth, also favored by the consolidated partnership with Bper Banca, launched since the establishment of the company and with Sace, which has already a few years by his side.
For Stefano Vittorio Kuhn, Chief Retail & Commercial Officer of Bper Banca, “this transaction confirms the Bank’s commitment to supporting the competitiveness of companies operating in the South. We are proud to support the growth plans of an Italian excellence with a strong vocation to export like Amber”. While Mauro Ambrosio, managing director of Amber adds: “Bper Banca’s support for our constant commitment to growth programs for our work – he explains – allows us, even and above all in this difficult historical moment, to plan and plan with the right timing the market operations on which to focus our attention, in order to continue to generate value for our company and for the territory in which we operate”.
