The project is part of the strategic initiative ‘Digital Republic’
The Anitec-Assinform Evaluation Commission has announced that it has chosen the projects that will receive the “National Award on Digital Innovation” now in its second edition, promoted by Anitec-Assinform, the Association for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) of Confindustria, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and with the participation of businesses, organizations and cultural associations. The Project is part of the strategic initiative ‘Digital Republic’ whose Manifesto was signed by Anitec-Assinform in 2019. Launched last February 15 and aimed at secondary school institutions throughout Italy, the association recalls that the This initiative rewards schools that, by joining forces and the determination of teachers and students in collaboration with leading companies in the ICT sector, have been able to devise innovative projects in the digital field, also considering their potential for starting business activities.
“For our Association, the development of young people’s digital skills is a priority. There
school is the place of knowledge and where young people form their own personality and culture preparing for the future ” comments the president of Anitec-Assinform, Marco Gay, underlining that “companies can play a key role by being convinced by the side of students, schools and teachers: this is why we wanted to launch the Digital Innovation Award, now in its second edition”. The Association awarded a contribution of 2,500 euros each to the 4 winning projects and planned a guided tour of the Trieste Science Park (Area Science Park), or the Genoa Science Center, in spring 2022.
The aim of the initiative is to involve students and teachers in a proactive action of awareness and guidance to encourage the transition to digital in the world of schools, families and society as a whole, enhancing the role and contribution of digital technologies. All projects are published on the website www.anitec-assinform.it and will be enhanced in future initiatives of the association. The Evaluation Commission chaired by Francesco Profumo (President of the Compagnia di San Paolo Foundation) and composed of Anna Brancaccio (Director of the Ministry of Education – Directorate General for School Regulations and for the Evaluation of the National Education System), Pier Giorgio Bianchi (Talents Venture) Roberto Costantini (Summer School & Luiss Hubs Director), Maria Rita Fiasco (Anitec-Assinform Vice President with responsibility for the “Skills for business growth” area) and Mirta Michilli (General Director of the Fondazione Mondo Digitale).
