Antonio Tajani, coordinator of Forza Italia, is tonight’s guest at Casa Italia, the new program conducted by Fabio Vitale and dedicated to the forthcoming vote for the renewal of the Parliament, scheduled for 25 September (THE SPECIAL OF SKY TG24: VERSO THE VOTE – ALL VIDEOS – ALL NEWS LIVE).

Tajani: “Defending the purchasing power of salaries and pensions”

The first issue Tajani spoke about was that of inflation. To contain it, he explained, “first of all we need to defend the purchasing power of salaries and pensions”. “For wages – said the coordinator of Fi – we need to cut taxes on labor and allow companies to be able to give more money to employees. For pensions, the minimums must be increased for both the elderly and those with disabilities. How? By overturning what the citizenship income is, because we only need to help those who cannot work. Those who can work, on the other hand, must go to work ”. According to Tajani, “we must also intervene at the European level. We do not agree with what the ECB is doing, which has increased the cost of money. In Europe, increasing the cost of money means putting businesses in difficulty in accessing credit and therefore stagnates, but we must encourage growth ”. Finally, there is “the price of gas, because inflation is rising mainly due to the cost of energy. So the European roof is good, let’s hope that this agreement can be reached between all the countries of the Union ”.
