Apple Fitness + without Apple Watch: Will work with iPhone

The update will be available in the autumn in the 21 countries where the service is currently active, including Italy

Apple has announced that Apple Fitness +, the fitness and wellness service with workouts for all levels, will be available to all iPhone users who will be able to subscribe and access content even without an Apple Watch. Those who use an iPhone, in fact, will have access to everything that the service offers, with over 3000 workouts and studio-style meditations, all led by a heterogeneous and inclusive team of trainers. You will be able to view on-screen directions and session duration, and the calorie burn estimate will be used to help close the Movement loop. Fitness + will be fully integrated with the Fitness app available with iOS 16 and will be located in the center panel. Rewards, challenges and the ability to share activities will help people find the right motivation to close the Movement loop. An iPhone is required to join, but the Fitness + experience will also be available on iPad and Apple TV.

The update will be available in the fall in the 21 countries where the service is available. On Monday, September 12, Fitness + will also introduce the fourth season of Stroll with New Guests, such as actress Regina Hall, Latin Grammy Award winner Nicky Jam and Emmy winning performer Leslie Jordan. The second season of Corriamo will explore new locations, including Yellowstone National Park (Wyoming), Mexico City and Queenstown (New Zealand). On that same date, Fitness + will also present the latest “Featured Artist” series with workouts accompanied by music by Mary J. Blige, Rolling Stones and The Weeknd. Fitness + will also introduce its newest collection, Pilates for More Than Your Core, while the trainer team will be enriched by a new yoga teacher, Dice Iida-Klein.

“Since we introduced Fitness + less than two years ago, people using it have been telling us how it is making a difference in their lives. We are thrilled to offer this award-winning service to even more people this fall by making Fitness + available to anyone with an iPhone, even without an Apple Watch, ”said Jay Blahnik, Apple’s vice president of Fitness Technologies. “We look forward to more and more people around the world finding the right motivation to reach their fitness and wellness goals by leading a healthier life.”
