“Lake Garda has a specificity which is that of small productions, which must be safeguarded because they contribute to maintaining the biodiversity of the lake basin. This is what the Veneto Region is trying to do in synergy with local fishermen and entrepreneurs, making small strategic investmentsthe”. This was stated by the director of Veneto Agriculture and national commissioner for the water emergency, Nicholas Dell’Acquaon the sidelines of the conference “State of the art and future projects” promoted by PescAgri, the association of Italian fishermen, in turn supported by CIA-Agricoltori Italiani for the protection, development and enhancement of aquaculture, and organized as part of the project “PescAgri we want!” funded by the Masaf.
“We are in fact helping the Municipality of Peschiera Del Garda with a project for the bleak – continued Dell’Acqua – in fact we need to think about the food chain which starts precisely from the smallest fish. With the province of Verona, on the other hand, we are dealing with the Bardolino hatchery”.
