Armani: ‘Iren invests 600 million in pure digitalisation’

As part of the Iren2030 business plan which envisages approximately 13 billion euro of investments, Iren dedicates 600 million euro to pure digitalisation, half of which concentrated on customer-oriented activities and aimed at further improving the quality of service and customer relations . This was stated in a note by Gianni Vittorio Armani, CEO of Iren at the ‘Utilities and digitization’ conference organized today in Milan by the Utilitatis Foundation in collaboration with Agici, Corporate Finance.

“Digitalization in the waste chain, for example – underlines Armani – allows for constant monitoring of the service and of waste disposal by users, elements that allow for more intelligent use of equipment, also to the advantage of fairer pricing. The positive collection data diversification achieved in the territories we serve, with peaks of 86% in some areas of Emilia, have contributed to making Iren a reference model on the national territory for the application of the Internet of things in everyday services”.
