Assogasliquidi-Federchimica representing the Italian LPG industry comments positively on today’s announcement by the Ministry of Business and Made in Italy – on the occasion of the presentation of the 2024 ecobonus plan – regarding the possibility of also supporting conversions to LPG and natural gas from vehicles already in circulation.

“We thank the Government and in particular the Ministry of Business and Made in Italy for having decided to evaluate the opportunity to introduce incentive measures for the conversion of vehicles to gas (LPG and natural gas), long awaited by our sector for important industrial, environmental and social implications of this intervention”, comments Andrea Arzà president of Assogasliquidi-Federchimica.

“We are completely available to offer our contribution to the technical definition of these incentives which, together with the provision of the new ecobonuses on the purchase of new cars, will be able to allow a significant reduction in emissions of the entire fleet in circulation, as well as a series of benefits for the Italian industry, world leader in components in the sector and capable of creating an efficient and widespread distribution network throughout the national territory”, he concludes.
