The Council of Ministers established it
The Council of Ministers has the state of emergency was extended to the municipalities of Marche and Tuscany affected by the flood. The CDM, on the proposal of the Minister for Civil Protection and Sea Policies Nello Musumeci, gave the green light to the “declaration of the state of emergency as a result of the exceptional meteorological events that occurred starting from 16 May 2023 in the territory of the Municipalities of Fano, Gabicce Mare, Monte Grimano Terme, Montelabbate, Pesaro, Sassocorvaro and Urbino in the province of Pesaro and Urbino”. For “the first aid interventions for the population”, reads the statement released by Palazzo Chigi at the end of tonight’s government meeting, “4 million euros have been allocated, from the Fund for national emergencies”.
The state of emergency, continues the note, has also been extended to the territory of the “Municipalities of Firenzuola, Marradi, Palazzuolo sul Serio and Londa of the metropolitan city of Florence”. Also in this case, for “the first aid interventions to the population, 4 million euros have been allocated, from the Fund for national emergencies”.
