L’Biden administration will not send any diplomatic representatives to the 2022 Winter Olympics
which will be held in Beijing in protest of the human rights violations by Cona in Xinjiang. This was announced by White House spokesman Jen Psaki explaining that the boycott of the event sends a “clear message” that human rights violations in China cannot ” happen as usual ‘‘cannot be tolerated.

“The Biden Administration will not send any diplomatic or official representation to the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics and Paralympics, given the ongoing genocide and crimes against humanity committed by the People’s Republic of China in XinjiangThe US team, he added, however, has the “full support” of the Biden Administration, but will not “participate in the game.” The diplomatic boycott of the games it does not mean that “this is the end of the concerns we will raise about human rights violations”, he added. The White House has informed its allies of the US decision and “of course we will leave them to make their own decisions.” Psaki then argued that the White House did not see it “right” or fair to penalize US athletes by promoting an entire US boycott of the Olympics.
