The tennis player informs about his conditions and explains how he is on social media

“Fortunately, the tests carried out did not show any extremely serious injuries.” Matteo Berrettini informs about his conditions and on social media he explains how he is after the injury suffered in the 2nd round of the Us Open against the French Arthur Rinderknech which will force him to forfeit for the Davis Cup commitments, in Bologna, with the blue shirt. His return is scheduled for mid-October.

“A mix of emotions. Fortunately, the tests carried out did not show extremely serious injuries as feared but a partial rupture of the anterior talar ligament. Unfortunately, however, I won’t be able to recover in time to join the boys and represent the colors I love most to participate in the series of tournaments that will be held in Asia,” says Berrettini. “I have already started my rehabilitation, which I hope will make me compete again after the Master 1000 in Shanghai” scheduled from 2 to 15 October 2023. “Thank you as always for the support and for the messages of affection, you are special”, he concludes the 27-year-old Roman.
