The delivery to the families was held in Rome, at the birth center of the San Camillo Hospital
The delivery to families of a kit of 12 boxes containing games and activities for children from 0 to 2 years old, developed by the Montessori Foundation to accompany families with children, through tools and guidelines useful for their development. The initiative took place as part of the Best Start Project, promoted by the Forum of Family Associations, in collaboration with the Department of Social Inclusion and Personal Services of the Lazio Region.
“I thank President Rocca for supporting this initiative. In a historical period in which there is a drastic decline in births, as the Lazio Region we are committed to implementing active policies to support families aimed at counteracting the demographic winter”, he explained Massimiliano Maselli, Councilor for Social Inclusion and Human Services of the Lazio Region.
“The Best Start Project intends to underline the high educational value of recreational activities, capable of stimulating the cognitive and motor skills of newborns, since it constitutes an educational experience for optimal development of the child”, declared Adriano Bordignon, President of the Forum of Family Associations.
For the General Director of San Camillo, Narciso Mostarda: “The responsibility of motherhood today is truly very great. For us, welcoming initiatives that may suggest investing in the future is a necessary challenge.”
