Blink Video Doorbell, Amazon launches its first smart video intercom

It costs 60 euros and allows you to always see who is at the front door of your home

Blink Video Doorbell, the first Amazon Blink video intercom, is available on at the introductory price of 59.99 euros. The device allows you to always see who is at the front door of your home, thanks to features such as two-way audio, HD video day and night, in-app doorbell and motion notifications, Alexa integration, and long battery life . It can be installed with or without cables. With the wireless setup you can get notifications in the Blink app if someone rings the bell or if there is motion in front of the door. Alternatively, you can connect the existing cables to make the doorbell already present in the house ring as well. Customers can also record, save and share videos by taking advantage of a free trial of the Blink subscription plan or save them locally at no recurring cost with Blink Sync Module 2 and a USB stick.

Blink Video Doorbell lets you receive an alert when a visitor is at your front door and lets you watch real-time 1080p HD video, day or night, with infrared night vision, and talk using two-way audio. Requires two AA lithium batteries. When wired or paired with a Sync Module 2, the included batteries can last up to two years. Battery life varies based on device settings, usage and environmental factors. You can connect your Blink Video Doorbell to compatible Echo and Fire devices to manage your Blink system via voice commands thanks to the Blink Smart Home Skill and receive notifications when Blink Video Doorbell is pressed or if motion is detected. Two new accessories are also available for purchase that further enhance Blink’s whole-home security. The new Blink Floodlight Mount is a battery-powered LED mount that gives the Blink Outdoor camera 700 lumen illumination that activates when you move. Blink Solar Panel Mount ensures non-stop solar-powered charging for the Blink Outdoor camera.
