Bracco is a historical brand of national interest

Diana Bracco: “Proud of this result”

In the Special Register of Historical Trademarks of National Interest, at the Italian Patent and Trademark Office, there is a new name: that of Bracco. Established in 2020 by the Ministry of Economic Development, the “Historic brand of national interest” logo is delivered exclusively to registered company brands, continuously renewed for at least 50 years and used for the marketing of products of excellence, historically connected to the Italian territory. Bracco, therefore, becomes part of that small club of historic companies which represents the spearhead of Made in Italy and which enhances the image of our country in the world.

“I am proud of this result”, says Diana Bracco, president and CEO of the Bracco Group, a company present in 100 countries with a turnover of 1.7 billion euro, of which 89% obtained on foreign markets, “because the brand of a company is a lever of international competitiveness. In fact, the logo is full of history and values, and conveys emotions. In the chemical pharmaceutical and diagnostic imaging sector, the Bracco logo is synonymous with responsibility, reliability, seriousness and effectiveness. In other words, it is a guarantee of quality for doctors, patients, institutions, suppliers, and for the employees themselves who feel a strong sense of belonging in all offices around the world”.

The Bracco Group logo, among other things, has a story behind it that deserves to be told: the hexagon was personally designed by Cav. Work Fulvio Bracco in the 70s. The captain of industry was inspired by the benzene ring at the center of the formula of the Iopamidol molecule – a product, the result of internal Bracco research, which revolutionized diagnostic imaging all over the world and is still the gold standard of reference today.
