The 74-year-old rock star announced it: “constantly recovering from his peptic ulcer in recent weeks”, he will continue “treatment for the rest of the year on the doctor’s advice”
Bruce Springsteen has to stop for health reasons and postpones all the remaining dates of the 2023 tour to 2024. The 74-year-old rock star announced it on X (formerly Twitter), explaining that those shows, together with the concerts that should have been held during the rest of year, will have rescheduled dates to be announced next week and “will all take place at the originally scheduled locations.” Springsteen said that he has been “steadily recovering from his peptic ulcer over the past few weeks” and that he will continue “treatment for the remainder of the year on the advice of his doctor.”
“When the new 2024 dates are announced, those unable to attend the new date and who purchased tickets through official ticketing companies have 30 days to request a refund. All tickets for the postponed shows will remain valid for the newly announced dates,” read the rocker’s statement.
Springsteen concluded the announcement with a personal message: “Thank you to all my friends and fans for your well wishes, encouragement and support. I am on the mend and can’t wait to see you next year.”
