Butti: “At the ‘digital Cernobbio’ the Government’s choral vision of the technological future”

The Undersecretary to the Presidency of the Council of Ministers for Innovation spoke at the presentation of the first edition of “ComoLake2023 – Next Generation Innovations”

The first edition of was presented this morning “ComoLake2023 – Next Generation Innovations”, the “digital Cernobbio”, which will be held on 5, 6 and 7 October at the International Exhibition and Congress Center of Villa Erba in Cernobbio, on Lake Como. The Expo Conference is organized by Now Italia.

The Undersecretary of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers for Innovation Alessio Butti, inspirer of ComoLake2023, also spoke at the press conference, which was held in the same location.

“The ‘digital Cernobbio’ will see a significant representation of the Government. At ComoLake2023 we will have the choral vision of the executive on the digital future. And for three days the city will become the place for international discussion on applications and policies as well as on the opportunities and risks of emerging technologies”, stated the Undersecretary.

Artificial Intelligencewhich will be talked about a lot at ComoLake2023”, concluded Butti, “will be one of the themes at the center of the Italian G7 Presidency, starting next January. And politics has the task of defining the governance of AI and not just thinking about how to defend against it. We therefore support Italy to develop Artificial Intelligence autonomously, because it is a determining factor for economic growth, balancing personal rights, ethical principles and the right to technological evolution”.

The numbers of the event

Three days of work, 5 thematic areas, over 15 panels that will host 80 speakers from different countries, with the presence of representatives of the Italian Government, with 10 Ministers already confirmed, of the Parliament, of representatives of foreign executives, of the European Commission, of the regulatory authorities and global bodies, universities, research centers, companies, experts and media: this will be ComoLake2023.

There are currently 10 Ministers confirmed at ComoLake2023: Andrea Abodi, Minister for Sport and Youth; Anna Maria Bernini, Minister of University and Research; Giancarlo Giorgetti, Minister of Economy and Finance; Francesco Lollobrigida, Minister of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forestry; Nello Musumeci, Minister for Civil Protection and Maritime Policies; Gilberto Pichetto Fratin, Minister of the Environment and Energy Security; Gennaro Sangiuliano, Minister of Culture; Orazio Schillaci, Minister of Health; Adolfo Urso, Minister of Business and Made in Italy; Giuseppe Valditara, Minister of Education and Merit.
