Caffè Trombetta, espresso pods withdrawn from the market: traces of ochratoxin found

The withdrawal ordered by the Ministry of Health. Several brands involved, here are which

The Ministry of Health has ordered the recall of some coffee pods. These are Trombetta Arabica coffee capsules with production batch 02AD07B with expiry date 07/02/2024 recalled due to the potential value of ochratoxin beyond the legal limit. “Consumers who have purchased packs belonging to the indicated batch are requested to bring it back to the point of sale”, reads the ministry’s website.

For the same reason, the Caffè Trombetta ‘Zio d’America’ compatible espresso capsules – produced in the Pomezia (Rome) plant – with production batch 01CD07B expiring on 07/02/2024 and with batch 02CD05B were also recalled. Also recalled are the Consilia Espresso Arabica pods with production batch 01DD04B expiring on 04/02/2024, again due to the ochratoxin value over the limit.

“Consumers who have purchased packs belonging to the indicated batch are requested to bring it back to the point of sale”, reads the ministry’s website.
