Calhanoglu exams, muscle strain to the adductor

Inter have issued an official statement on the condition of their midfielder

Hakan Calhanoglu underwent clinical tests this morning after the stop with the national team in recent days. The investigations revealed a
right thigh abductor muscle strain.

Difficult, with this type of injury, to see Calhanoglu back on the field before at least two weeks. The most important appointment of the seasonthe first leg on Portuguese soil against Benfica in the quarterfinals of the Champions League League, he who had been elected MVP of the match against Porto, is at great risk.

More legitimate, if anything, hope to have Calhanoglu back when he returns to San Siro on 19 April. But the rehabilitation process to which the player will be subjected will be fundamental.

In the league Calhanoglu will miss the match against Fiorentina, the one against Salernitana and could hope to be there for the match against Monza, between the two Champions League matches, although it remains a complicated objective. The midfielder will also miss the first leg of the Coppa Italia semi-finals against Juventus.

It will be up to Simone Inzaghi to redesign the midfield given the Turkish forfeit. In all likelihood, the midline at 5 will be formed by Gosens and Dumfries on the sides, with Mkhitaryan, Brozovic and Barella ready to act in the center.

Marcelo Brozovic will therefore be designated to replace Calhanogluwho has built his own fortunes and those of his fantasy coaches this season in place of the Croatian in the role of director.
