Banca Carige. The recapitalization of the Ligurian bank requested by the Modenese bank, one billion euros to be paid by the Fitd, has raised discontent within the Fund, especially among small and medium-sized banks, opposed to an outlay of that size. There expression of interest non-binding of Bper for the 80% stake held by Fitd and 8.3% of Cassa Centrale Banca in Carige “presents terms and conditions to be explored which, at present, in particular, as regards the level of recapitalization required for Carige, it does not comply with the statutory provisions relating to interventions of the type in question “.

After the recapitalization, the offer provided for the launch by Bper of atakeover bid mandatory on the remaining share capital of the company, for a consideration of 0.80 euros per share, including a premium of 29% compared to the closing price of the Carige share on 13 December.
