Cars, green light for incentives for non-polluting vehicles

Increase to 50% of the contributions to the purchase for incomes under 30 thousand euros. Giorgetti: “With this measure we will increase the penetration of low-emission vehicles”

Green light to the Dpcm (arrived in these minutes also ok of the Mef) on the proposal of the Minister Giancarlo Giorgetti to the reshaping of the incentives for non-polluting purchases. In particular, for the year 2022, in the hypothesis in which the buyer has an income of less than € 30,000, it is expected that the 50% of the contributions for the purchase of non-polluting vehicles. This was announced by a note from the Mise.



In detail: a) for new factory M1 category vehicles approved in a class not lower than Euro 6, with emissions in the 0-20 grams (g) range of carbon dioxide (CO2) per kilometer (Km) (electric), with a price resulting from the official price list of the car manufacturer equal to or less than 35,000 euros excluding VAT, contribution currently equal to euros 3,000 and, if a vehicle approved in a class lower than Euro 5 is scrapped at the same time, equal to 5,000.

b) contribution for new factory M1 category vehicles approved in a class of not less than Euro 6, with emissions in the 21-60 grams (g) range of carbon dioxide (CO2) per kilometer (Km) (hybrid), with a price resulting from the official price list of the car manufacturer equal to or less than 45,000 euros excluding VAT, contribution currently equal to euros 2,000 and, if a vehicle approved in a class lower than Euro 5 is scrapped at the same time, equal to Euro 4,000. Only one person within the same family unit can benefit from the additional contribution.

The same paragraph entrusts to a subsequent directorial decree of the Ministry of Economic Development the definition of the procedural discipline for the purpose of disbursement of the incentive.

The bonuses are also extended to legal entities that rent cars as long as they keep their ownership for at least 12 months. The rationale is that on the electric and plugins – explains Mise – (0-20, 21-60) there remains a significant share of resources and since the design of the incentives is proving to be correct ”.

“The main market share is Italian productions – says Giorgetti – with this measure we will increase the penetration of low-emission vehiclescontinuing to support industrial production, according to the plan I had in mind at the beginning of my mandate “.
