CES preview from Lenovo, the new ThinkPad X1 green laptops

Made with 90% recycled magnesium in the palm rest and 55% recycled aluminum in the lower case

Ahead of the Las Vegas event dedicated to consumer electronics, CES 2023, Lenovo unveiled the new ThinkPad X1 laptops with environmentally friendly materials. In fact, the ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 11 is made with 90% recycled magnesium in the palm rest and 55% recycled aluminum in the lower shell. In addition, the sales packaging is made from 100% bamboo and sugar cane fibre, the brown boxes that contain the PCs are made with 90% recycled plastic free packaging and/or FSC certification. In addition, the new ThinkPad X1s contain post-consumer recycled plastic (PCC) in some components. ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 11 and ThinkPad X1 Yoga Gen 8 will be available in Italy from July 2023. Designed on the Intel Evo platform, the models, all configurable, are equipped with the latest generation of Intel Core i7 processors with Intel vPro and are based on Windows 11. The ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 11 and X1 Yoga Gen 8 can also be configured with up to of 64 GB of LPDDR5 RAM for users who perform computational tasks that require a lot of memory. In addition to the digital well-being protection features included in Lenovo View, the low blue light display, which also includes the option of OLED with Dolby Vision, certified by TÜV Rheinland, helps reduce eye strain and fatigue. The video features enhanced by AI and the smart ones that improve video conferencing and those of the Dolby suite.
