Landini: “Meloni’s presence is important, a sign of respect”

“I consider the fact that Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni has agreed to participate in the CGIL congress positive, a sign of respect and recognition of the role of an organization that represents millions of people. At the same time I hope that what has not so far been determined achieved: the announced reforms must be the subject of discussion and negotiation”. This is the comment of the general secretary of the CGIL, Maurizio Landini. “The presidents of the Council in office have been invited to all the CGIL congresses. We have never had prejudices against any government, we are used to dealing with the governments that exist”, he added. “Then we can be in agreement or not with the government in office but this is part of the democratic game”, concluded Landini.
