For the evening, the Cruz arrived in total black: knitted minidress and opaque sequin jacket with many jewels with the double C to complete the look.
In addition to the fashion show, which she attended from the front row, the Oscar-winning actress took part in a special masterclass for two hundred and forty students that took place in the morning at the Florence Chamber of Commerce in the presence of the president of the Chanel brand, Bruno Pavlovsky

Gritty and chic, Penelope Cruz is the emblem of the new Chanel woman designed by Virginie Viard, creative director of the brand after Karl Lagerfeld. The show in Florence is the first outside of France since the new designer arrived. Chanel had been missing from Italy since 2015, the year of the memorable presentation of the Métiers d’Art collection at Cinecittà

The event also marks the arrival of pieces from the collection in Italian boutiques from 8 June. The same will be available in the rest of the world from 9 June
