Martin said he stopped eating at 4 p.m. after learning from Bruce Springsteen that he eats only once a day. Martin shared that he was inspired to make Springsteen’s habits his “next challenge” because the 73-year-old rocker looked “more fit” than he did at the time. According to Martin, his only meal of the day consists of a “buffalo flank with steroid sauce.”
On the other hand, Gwyneth Paltrow, Martin’s ex-wife, also practices intermittent fasting and waits until 12 pm to eat her first meal.
The Goop founder also revealed that she eats bone broth for lunch on many days and tries to eat vegetables for dinner in keeping with the paleo diet. During an interview, Paltrow was hooked up to an IV drip, which she said made her “feel so good.”
Paltrow recently received criticism from some celebrities, including Meghan McCain and Tess Holliday, for her “starvation diet.”
However, Paltrow defended herself by saying that her choices are based on her medical results and exhaustive tests. Additionally, Paltrow blamed his choices on “very high levels of inflammation” from long-standing COVID-19 in an Instagram Story video.
Finally, when Paltrow was married to Martin from 2003 to 2016, the former couple ate basically “nothing,” according to their personal chef, Kate McAloon. McAloon claimed the couple avoided sugars, anything sweet and dairy, and just ate more vegetables.
