Gifts, relaxation and whole days to spend in the company of loved ones. The perfect Christmas needs the right accompaniment music, one themed soundtrack which includes the great classics of the holidays and some new songs composed for the occasion. Even the Christmas season 2021 has its new record entries, Italian and international, single or entire discs re-proposed in these weeks in a special edition to be collected and placed under the tree.
The box sets: from Mariah Carey to Tony Bennett
The holiday season 2021 will feature a variety of Christmas songs, each determined to earn a prominent place on streaming radios and playlists.
Already queen of the Christmas hits with the timeless cover of “All I Want For Christmas Is You”, Mariah Carey is one of the protagonists of the month with the song “Fall In Love At Christmas”, made with gospel singer Kirk Franklin and the American Khalid. The single, released on November 5th, will be featured on the television special “Mariah’s Christmas: The Magic Continues” airing December 3 on Apple TV +.
Michel Bublé is another prominent protagonist of these weeks: from November 19 the box set “Christmas Deluxe 10th Anniversary Special Edition” is available, which contains seven bonus tracks and two songs recorded at Abbey Road Studios in London, an edition that celebrates the tenth anniversary of “Christmas” international success of the Canadian crooner of 2011.
Special box also for the legend Tony Bennett, which reissues on vinyl, for the first time since 1968, the album “SnowFall – The Tony Bennett Christmas Album”: a gem to collect.
To remain among the big names, even the couple made up of Ed Sheeran and Elton John they let themselves be seduced by the magic of the holidays with the single “Merry Christmas”, out on December 3rd, followed by a live by the two artists in London on December 13th.
Also noteworthy is the Christmas return of Billy Idol with the reissue, plus an unreleased, of “Happy Holidays” from 2006 and that of the album “A Very She & Him Christmas” by Ward and Deschanel, the duo She & Him, with new unpublished themed covers.
The Italian news
Made in Italy defends itself with two new songs that we will certainly hear very often on air. The first is “Christmas for you”, The video of which is already online, a Christmas song created by famous artists together with the voices of the speakers of Radio Deejay, the well-known collective Deejay All Stars. The piece that has been traditionally recorded since 1995 by the famous Italian radio, this year is composed by Dardust with the words of Margherita Vicario, the latter also a vocalist together with Elodie.
Another unmissable exit is that of Elettra Lamborghini who on his very popular social networks announced for December 3 the arrival of the explosive single “A Mezzanotte”, news accompanied by a playful photo of the multi-platinum artist with his new dog.
