the tribute to Ennio Morricone
The first part of “Cinema On Ice” will feature a tribute to the great Maestro Ennio Morricone, whose soundtracks are an authentic, precious and irreplaceable narrative resource for so many films that have made the history of cinema. In the second part, the audience will be captivated by other unforgettable musical pieces from the most exciting Oscar-winning Hollywood films, including the poignant “Titanic”, the epic “Gladiator” and the irrepressible energy of the entire cast in “The Great Gatsby”.
Furthermore, it will be possible to admire the wonderful costumes worn by the cast, which faithfully reproduce the clothes of the actors in the films, also made with recycled fabrics and waste material in the name of environmental sustainability, signed by the theatrical costume designers Lorena Marin, who conceived and created the costumes of the Opera on Ice shows since its first edition, and Luca Dall’Alpi, specialized in the creation of jewels and elaborate feather creations. The two costume designers and teachers were supported in the creation of the costumes for this show by the students of the High Tailoring Course of the Academy of the Teatro Regio in Parma, one of the most important opera houses in the world. The same attention and professionalism has been placed in faithfully reproducing the make-up too – created by the young make-up artists of the GV Make-up Academy founded by Greta Volpi, trained and followed by highly qualified teachers, who have the highest quality products of the Kryolan brand – and the most beautiful and tenacious hairstyles created by Simone Curci together with the Wella official hair partner hairdressers who highlighted the look of the skating champions who performed on the soundtracks of the most famous world films.
“As happened since the first edition of Opera on Ice in 2011 at the Verona Arena, we are proud of the success achieved in the world debut of the new show format in Turin, the cradle of Italian cinema, in the temple of skating: the PalaVela . I sincerely thank the cast, the choreographers, the costume designers and all the professionals who have worked for months to create this one-of-a-kind show that will excite and transport the television audience into a magical evening”, declared Giulia Mancini, President of Opera on Ice , who adds: “Now we are ready to bring the show throughout Italy and abroad.”
