Circular economy and energy transition, conference in Rome

Organized by Conou together with AIEE

Energy transition and circular economy are the two faces of the commitment to ensure a sustainable future for the planet. Academics, economists and representatives of Italian environmental bodies and consortia will talk about it together to enhance the role of the circular economy in the energy transition. On 7 March 2023, from 9.30, at Spazio Europa (Via 4 Novembre, Rome), the event will be held ‘The role of the circular economy in European energy policy’, organized by Conou (National Consortium of Used Mineral Oils) together with the AIEE (Italian Association of Energy Economists).

The conference will be an opportunity to analyze Italy’s position with respect to the circular objectives sanctioned by the EU and discuss the state of the art of the circular economy and its critical issues. The results achieved will be underlined by five concrete experiences narrated by the consortia of the supply chain, which will illustrate the commitment and objectives achieved through their activity also with regard to the energy transition.
