It is announced for the next one April 28th the start of Citadel, the new Amazon Prime Video series (it will also be visible on Sky Glass, Sky Q and via the app on the Now Smart Stick). At the moment, it is one of the most anticipated titles of the season and the new trailer is increasing the hype of the product by spy/action genre. The marketing campaign for this series is cured in every aspect and from this it is clear that the production has high expectations in this regard. Many of the hopes are entrusted to two protagonists, Richard Madden and Priyanka Chopra Jonasadded value for the product.
The new trailer of Citadel
Every trailer released Of Citadel was marked with a name. What has been published in the last few hours is called Myth and shows i again two protagonists in action. The ingredients to become a cult phenomenon, as can also be seen from this short clip, are all there. There is suspense, there is thriller, there is adventure and there is spy story: all elements that marry and combine within the plot of Citadel to make it something unique in the global serial scene. The ambition was high and the attempt to keep such different elements together is not always successful. Although the ingredients are the most attractive, in fact, finding the right balance is not easy: the risk is to overdo it, to create an incomprehensible mix. But the plus of Citadel it seems to be just that, that is, having found the right key to keep all these ingredients together without making them “go crazy”. This is what emerges from the trailer and that is perceived from the first information that has been disclosed on the series.
The synopsis of Citadel
Just over 10 days after its release, Citadel has one official synopsis which accompanies the future public to understand its plot: “Eight years ago, Citadel fell: the independent international espionage agency, born with the aim of defending everyone’s security, was destroyed by the agents of Manticore, a powerful association who manipulates the world in the shadows. With the fall of Citadel, all memories of elite agents Mason Kane (Richard Madden) and Nadia Sinh (Priyanka Chopra Jonas) were erased, but they miraculously managed to save themselves. They have remained in hiding ever since, building a new life and new identities for themselves, both unaware of their pasts.” Something changes, however, when “Mason is tracked down by his former Citadel colleague, Bernard Orlick (Stanley Tucci), who desperately needs his help to stop Manticore from establishing a new world order. Mason searches for his former colleague Nadia, and the two spies embark on a mission that takes them around the world in an attempt to stop Manticore, all while having to deal with a relationship built on secrets, lies and a dangerous love but timeless”.
