The official trailer is out Citadelthe television series directed by the Russo brothers starring Richard Madden and Priyanka Chopra Jonas.
This project is highly anticipated, as it comes after several years of high anticipation by fans of the directors of legendary series such as Arrested Development And Community and movies like Avengers: Infinity War And Avengers: Endgame.
In these hours the trailer has been released which reveals the first rumors, given that until yesterday the project was top secret. The only thing the public was given to know was the trend to which the new series by Joe and Anthony Russo belonged: we all expected a spy thriller, and in fact even the video that anticipates what we will see in the series confirms the expectations.
In the trailer it is revealed that the protagonists, Richard Madden and Priyanka Chopra Jonas, play respectively Mason Kane and Nadia Sinh, two secret agents who were part of the organization put title: Citadel.
This organization aimed at preserving the security of the whole world, however will fall into the hands of a criminal association called Manticore.

The protagonists are the only survivors of the massacre of the Citadel agents
Mason Kane and Nadia Sinh are the only two survivors of the massacre of all the secret agents of the Citadel. We will find them eight years later, when one of their former colleagues (Bernard, played by the great Stanley Tucci) will contact them to enlist them in a very dangerous mission to get rid of the Manticore.
Mason Kane and Nadia Sinh remember almost nothing of what happened in the past as they lost their memory from the trauma (both physical and mental). However, they remember the last time they met, just before a train exploded. Of note is how this trailer was supposed to come out last week but was postponed due to the tragic train accident in Greece.
The challenge is not only to defeat enemies but also to dig into memories
For the two protagonists the challenge is double: on the one hand there is the mission to defeat the enemies, on the other there is their personal goal (which also becomes essential from the mission to defeat the enemies), that of digging into memories and reclaiming the past. Remembering what happened will become essential to find the answers they need to save the entire planet from the establishment of a new world order.
A stratospheric budget of 185 million dollars to produce six episodes
Citadelarriving on April 28 on Prime Video, is made up of six episodes that cost a stratospheric amount: in fact, we are talking about a budget of 185 million dollars.
This series should represent the first chapter of a saga that seems to be enriched by various international spin-offs.
In the plans of Joe and Anthony Russo (who here make use of the work of showrunner David Weil, famous for the TV series Hunters) the franchise should be divided into numerous local series. The Italian version is in the works, starring the local actress Matilda De Angelis, as well as the Indian one is already in the works. Production of the Mexican series should also begin soon.
