Just over a week after the opening of the Mostra d’Oltremare gates, unveiled in Naples the details of the XXIII edition of the Comicon, International Comics Exhibition now classified as International Pop Culture Festival as a result of a schedule full of appointments involving thepublishing how much the world of gamingthat of the social media and those of the cinema and TV seriesall of great appeal.

The maxi Neapolitan event
Claudius Curcio And Matthew Stefanellirespectively President and Artistic Director of Comicon, proudly presented in Naples at the headquarters of the Campania Region the program of events and the names of the characters that will animate the event which has already recorded very high numbers of tickets and subscriptions sold since the opening of the pre-sale.
At Comicon, in addition to the 120,000 visitors expectedthey expect more than three hundred and fifty artists from three continents, numbers that bring the kermesse back to the successes of the seasons preceding the pandemic which forced the Festival to stop for two years between 2020 and 2021. After the 2022 edition, held in person, 2023 brings back to Naples some of the most loved by fans of products intended for cinema and TV. Comicon 2023: film previews
While awaiting its debut in theaters (scheduled for May 18 in Italy), the Comicon will screen on Friday April 28 at the Teatro del Mediterraneo in world exclusive an unpublished content of Fast Xtenth title in the saga of Fast & Furious with Vin Diesel. Same venue, but Monday, May 1, for the fifteen-minute preview of The First Slam Dunk. The event linked to the long-awaited feature film inspired by the manga Slam dunk will be attended by basketball champion Linton Johnson. Preview at the Teatro del Mediterraneo on April 30, in the presence of Federico Zampaglione, musician and director, of Terrifier 2, marking the return of Art The Clown. May 1st is also the turn of Unicorn Wars, animated film by cartoonist and director Alberto Vazquez. Space in the world by David Lynch on April 30 with the documentary Lynch/Oz (for everyone at the cinema from 8 to 10 May). Other screenings will be made at the Crunchyroll stand, the streaming platform present in the Asian Village area. Among the guests also announced the actors Lillo and Valerio Mastandrea, the latter in the jury for the awarding of prizes related to the event.
Cult meetings and celebrations
Numerous meetings in which issues related to the world of the seventh art and beyond will be explored. Cosplayer Himorta and booktoker Martina Levato will talk on May 1st about The Hunger Games Saga waiting for The Hunger Games – The Ballad of the Nightingale and the Serpent, of which a teaser trailer will be presented. On April 28 for the twenty years since the release of Kill Bill Vol.1 action cinema and martial arts will be discussed with industry experts. Same theme for the celebrations of the fiftieth anniversary of The 3 of Operation Drago, cult with Bruce Lee, screened in a restored version on April 30th. Thanks to Paramount, Andrea Ippoliti will attend the screening of unpublished animated short films from the 1930s, all restored. Plus, looking forward to Transformers – The Awakeningspeaker of the event, will be the Italian voice of Optimus Primethe leader of the Transformers Autobots.
TV series: from shake to Small fish by The Jackals
There is also a large program for series fans who will be able to discover all the curiosities about the 28th of April together with the protagonists Small Fish – An agency. Lots of ideas. Little budget, the show distributed by Prime Video conceived and performed by The Jackal. April 30 is the turn of shake, fresh from its debut on RaiPlay, with Jason Premphe, Giulia Fazzini, Giada Di Palma and Alessandra Cannavà who will meet the public. On April 28, however, the preview screening of two episodes of Dragonero – The Paladins, the first animated product signed (also) by Bonelli Entertainment. Surprises also for fans of Sea Out on which a special announcement will be made during Comicon.
