The film, directed and starring the actress, becomes one of the highest grossing films in Italy from 2021, above ‘The Little Mermaid’
The unstoppable march of ‘There’s Still Tomorrow’ continues at the Italian box office: for the third weekend in a row, Paola Cortellesi’s directorial debut achieved record takings earning another 4,501,776 euros over the weekend and almost reaching 13 million euros in total (12,935,171). The average copy of the film is impressive – 7,078 euros – which will become one of the highest grossing films in Italy from 2021, above The Little Mermaid, according to what the specialized website cinematografo.it reports.
Debuts in second place at the box office ‘The Marvels’ with 1,585,950 euros (average of 3,975 and a total, with the takings on Wednesday 8 November, equal to 1,868,351). Third is the horror film ‘Five Nights at Freddy’s’with 876,813 euros (average of 2,415 and a total of 4,825,486).
In fourth place another new entry, ‘Trolls 3 – All together‘, with 874,229 euros (average of 2,153 and a total, with previews, of 1,197,319 euros). Fifth ‘Commander‘ by Edoardo De Angelis: the film with Pierfrancesco Favino adds 700,151 euros (average of 1,370) to its overall takings which rises to 2,653,400 euros.
So the rest of the top ten: 6th ‘Killers of the Flower Moon’ by Martin Scorsese (288,957 euros over the weekend, total 4,896,299 euros); 7th ‘Saw X’ (273,921 euros, total 3,369,529 euros); 8th ‘Me against you The film: Holidays in Transylvania’ (180,767 euros; total 4,455,466 euros); 9th ‘Anatomy of a fall’ (136,341, total 748,265 euros); 10th ‘Joika – One step away from the dream’ (70,401 euros; total 237,741).
The overall takings for the year were practically unchanged compared to the previous weekend (10,080,979 euros, -1%), which instead marks a +47.75% compared to the figure recorded for last year’s weekend, when Black was in the lead Panther: Wakanda Forever.
