Music, memories, anecdotes and tributes to artists who have left an indelible mark on music. Thursday 6 April Jo Ring hosted the evening dedicated to Cramps Records and Gianni Sassi.
Cramps Records, an evening of emotions for Gianni Sassi
The singer and presenter accompanied the audience throughout the concert, opening it with a memory from the record company: “He was so brilliant, unattainable and unexpected”.
Space then a Patrician Fariselli and atOpen Project area who performed the album in its entirety Arbeit Macht Frei, never happened in fifty years. The musicians played the six tracks of the disc in two different parts of the evening, giving the audience very emotional moments.
To follow the Skiantos, presented by Jo Squillo as the ‘inventors of zany rock’. The group made those present go wild with their famous songs with irreverent tones, such as Becomes demented, I love you crazy And Karabiniere blues.
Eugene Finardi And Carlo Goldmund have paid tribute to the history of Cramps Records e John Cage. Maestro Finardi recalled Gianni Sassi: “he is considered a great cultural operator and a record producer, but it was none of these things of his, he was a situationist artist, that is, he created situations, sometimes of confrontation, others of stimulating encounters. His great ability was to create dreams in the minds of the people he spoke to. The great artwork of him was the Cramps”.
Moment of great magic with Lucio Fabbri & Friends which they proposed Daily bread by Alberto Camerini, Master of the voice of the PFM e Music rebel by Eugenio Finardi. Following Andrea Tich and again Carlo Boccadoro who recalled John Cage with Dream. Tribute also to Frank beatfriend of Gianni Sassi.
