Cremonese-Inter 1-2, Nerazzurri comeback with brace from Lautaro

The Nerazzurri are second in the standings with 40 points

Inter wins 2-1 in comeback on the Cremonese field in the second advance on Saturday of the twentieth day of Serie A. A brace from Lautaro Martinez allows Inter to regain success. At the ‘Zini’ the Nerazzurri got off to a strong start but at the first restart the Grigiorossi took the lead with a magic from Okereke, who placed it in the seven with a great shot from outside. The Argentine world champion finds the equal almost immediately and in the second half the limelight at the suggestion of Dzeko. Inter provisionally overtakes Milan and climbs to second place with 40 points, -10 from Napoli; Cremonese remains in last position at 8, still without victories.

THE MATCH – With the desire to redeem the home knockout against Empoli, Inter sets out to attack without however calling Carnesecchi into question but after 11 minutes they already have to chase: Okereke, left completely free to shoot by Calhanoglu, invents a jewel that ends in the seven to the left of Onana and gives the hosts the lead. The guests’ reaction was immediate and in the 21st minute the equalizer arrived, which came from a corner. Dzeko engages Carnesecchi, the goalkeeper’s rebound finds Lautaro ready, whose tap-in brings the result back to a draw.

The Grigiorossi came close to the new lead with a nice back-heel from Benassi, neutralized on the ground by Onana, then it was Inter, with captain Lautaro, who made the ball hiss just wide of the hosts’ goal. In the 28th minute a potential key episode: Acerbi loses the ball and knocks Okereke out towards the Nerazzurri goal. Mariani draws the yellow card, evaluating Bastoni’s return as possible. Chance for Inter in the final half: Carnesecchi is good on Dimarco’s shot from outside and then on Lautaro’s attempt from close range.

At the opening of the second half Dimarco tries again from afar and Carnesecchi replies present. Shortly after Inter asked for a penalty for a foul by Chiriches on Dzeko in the area. In the 20th minute Dzeko inspires the pocket for Lautaro. The dirty turn of the Argentine mocks Carnesecchi, Inter takes the lead on 2-1.

Shortly after half an hour Inzaghi changes the attack tandem by inserting Correa and Lukaku for Lautaro and Dzeko and Gagliardini closes as captain.
