CD Projekt RED also announced the end of support for the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game
CD Projekt RED has announced the release of the latest update for Cyberpunk 2077, which will bring players a number of new features. Also known as Patch 1.6, the update takes its name from the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners anime, and includes equippable items from the entire series, coming to Netflix on September 13. Players exploring Night City will be able to find the jacket worn by protagonist David Martinez and a shotgun used by a character. The community-requested transmog system, or cloakroom, is now accessible from all apartments and safe houses in V. Players will be able to keep up to six outfits that can be viewed and selected from their inventory. Added to this is a cross-platform progression function, which allows you to upload your saves to the cloud and continue between consoles, or on PC.
This update also adds the ability to play Roach Race in any of the Night City arcade cabinets. Those who reach the highest scores can expect rewards in the form of Eurodollars and items, and those who want to play outside of Cyberpunk 2077 can also download Roach Race for free on iOS and Android. The game is developed in collaboration with Crunching Koalas. CD Projekt RED also revealed the name and teaser of the game’s next expansion. Introduced by game director Gabe Amatangelo, a preview trailer showed a glimpse of the expansion before confirming its title, Phantom Liberty. Amatangelo has confirmed that a new cast of characters will be introduced in Phantom Liberty with whom V will come into contact within a new location of Night City. Phantom Liberty will be released in 2023 for PlayStation 5, PC, Xbox Series X | S and Stadia. After the trailer, a video message from Keanu Reeves was shown, in which the Hollywood star revealed that he will reprise his role as rockerboy Johnny Silverhand for Phantom Liberty.
