Dance, Pia Russo in memory of Carla Fracci with the Straccamore-Paruccini couple

Streaming in memory of Carla Fracci on May 27, the day of her death exactly one year ago in Milan, with Pia Russo teacher and maitre de ballet who will remember in ‘Behind the curtain’ the great divine disappearance with Gaia Straccamore and Manuel Paruccini, respectively étoile and principal dancer of the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma alongside Eriberto Verardi, maitre de ballet and assistant director during the period Fracci spent at the helm of the Costanzi company.



The event, which will take place via zoom (7 pm), is organized and promoted by Maria Ludmila Pustka, one of the directors of the Italian Cultural Association (Il Circolo), a London-based charity. Among the objectives of the association, that of promoting the love and understanding of Italian culture in England through fundraising events to finance projects. The Club, which enjoys the patronage of Mrs Victoria Trombetta, wife of the Italian ambassador to the Court of San Giacomo, and of the Duchess of Somerset, was founded in 1995 by a group of friends and subsequently became a charity. Over the past 27 years, he has granted more than 200 scholarships and held the Italian chair at Somerville College, Oxford.

The objective of the event dedicated to Carla Fracci is to create an annual appointment with dance to be linked to the establishment of scholarships for young students of the Royal Ballet School.
