The Second World War told from a new point of view, that of the German Navy, for a mix of spy thrillers, war films and detective stories. The series Sky Original Das Boot, of which the official trailer is released today, returns for a fourth season which this time deals with the internal and external conflicts of the German army, both at home and in the waters of the Mediterranean. The new episodes of the sequel series to the film U-Boot 96 by Wolfgang Petersen, in turn based on the novels by Lothar-Günther Buchheim, will be available twice a week from 18 October exclusively on Sky and streaming only on NOW.
The plot
In the Mediterranean, German U-Boats face unparalleled adversity while at home, intrigues and secrets within the ranks of the German Navy Command in Berlin conceal a dangerous conspiracy now underway. Brothers Hannie Hoffmann (Rosalie Thomass) and Klaus Hoffmann (Rick Okon), two polar opposites, are brought together by a tragedy that will lead them to face their own personal battles. Klaus must reach Naples to embark again as U-Boat commander, on a mission to change the fate of the war. Hannie must find the determination and courage to unmask and take down a group of uniformed criminals who have embraced the Reich’s darkest tendencies.

A rich cast led by Tom Wlaschiha (Stranger Things), Franz Dinda (The Cloud) accompanied by Rick Okon (Tatort), Pierre Kiwitt (Lobos sucios), Leonard Scheicher (Finsterworld) and Robert Stadlober (SummerStorm).
