Christmas has arrived at Disneyland Paris! In full compliance with all anti-covid measures – mandatory mask not only on attractions but also outdoors in the Parks – at Disneyland Paris Christmas 2022 has already lit up with lights and emotions. So what better place to wait or to celebrate the Christmas holidays? Until January 9th Mickey and his friends have prepared a dream entertainment program, in an atmosphere that you can experience, as a family, as a couple or with friends.
Finally, the sparkling 24-meter tree is lit
With attractions as a backdrop, the festive period has always been the most evocative to experience in the magical world of Disney in Marne-la-Vallèe, east of Paris. Do not miss the majestic, sparkling Christmas tree 24 meters high at the Disneyland Park that will welcome you as soon as you enter, while lights, garlands and decorations will accompany you to the Sleeping Beauty Castle. Adding to the magic of Disney Christmas is the snow that will surprise all visitors along Main Street several times a day.
Mickey and the new glittering Parade
If in the two Disney Parks there will be no shortage of characters dressed up for the party – Mickey Mouse, Minnie, Donald Duck, Goofy, Stich and Santa Claus himself, the real surprise will be for everyone the new, unprecedented sparkling parade dedicated to the 2022 holidays. Five extraordinary and bright floats , with Mickey and all his friends, the Disney princesses, none of the most beloved characters, adults and children, are missing.
Disneyland Paris Production Designer: “European inspiration”
Emanuel Lenormand – set designer of Disneyland Paris tells us: “We have been working on this show for more than three years, I would say almost four, the result which is what we should have seen without Covid. We were able to secure the show at just the right time. The inspiration? It is a European touch, Italy is fashion, France is fashion, we have Versailles, we have beautiful museums and therefore we wanted to be literally inspired by the heart of Europe; we obviously also thought of Paris, Paris city of lights, this is how we came up with the idea of lights. We decided to do a show with two versions, the day and the night. We have two different shows with the magic of light, obviously we have the reference to Paris and Christmas. A Christmas without lights couldn’t be Christmas! So here is the inspiration behind the iconic object of this period, that is the Christmas tree – it is a tribute to the many Christmas trees – we have that of Mickey Mouse, the Christmas tree of the princesses of Versailles is really a work of art, a wonderful jewel, this is our source of inspiration! Christmas is emotion, Christmas is memories of the past “.
