Dl aid, Landini: “Insufficient resources for workers and retirees”

The CGIL leader: “We are talking about 10 euros gross per month for those who take 500. Not acting on extra profits is a slap in the face of those who pay bills and taxes”

” In terms of quantity it is completely insufficient because of the 14.3 billion only one billion is for workers and 1.5 billion for pensions. This means that for every 1,000 euros, that’s 10 euros of tax reduction per month. For pensions it means that every 500 euros is 10 euros gross per month. We are talking about absolutely insufficient figures to address the problem ”. This was underlined by the leader of the CGIL, Maurizio Landini, at the end of the meeting at the Mef on aid dl.

” With this maneuver as proposed – explains the secretary of the CGIL – workers and pensioners up to 35 thousand euros go less than the 200euro of a one-off fee which were disbursed in July between now and the end of the year. We are not there, the resources are inadequate ”.

“I believe that not to intervene further on extra profits is a slap in the face to those who have paid their bills and pay their taxes“. Landini gives the example of Eni, whose profits went from 1 to 7 billion in the half year:” It means that this is the money of those who paid the bills, workers and retirees. I believe that just as 25% of extra-profits were taxed, today we can tax much more, because it means supporting incomes and pensions “.

“Even here we have been told that there are companies that have to pay the extra profit, that have appealed because they consider this rule unconstitutional. We are faced with a slap in the face of workers and pensioners and those who honestly pay taxes”, concludes Landini.

“I think it is useful for the government to reflect on it, for all the political forces in parliament to think about it and not just think about what they will do next.” This was underlined by the General Secretary of the CGIL, Maurizio Landini, at the end of the meeting at the Mef on aid dl.

On the convocation of the CDM, Landini explains that “they told us that in the next few days, it could be tomorrow or Friday morning at the latest, there will be a meeting of the Council of Ministers. Since we have made these remarks, they told us that they must discuss and evaluate : if there are other news they would call us back and in any case they would keep us informed “.

“The message that must arrive now is that this is not good – concludes Landini – the resources are totally insufficient and it is time to act further on extra profits. To tax 25% means that there is 75% that goes into the pocket of who made the extra profits “.
