Very little remains of the houses and monuments of the old city, a UNESCO heritage site. More than 300,000 people in and around Marrakech need help, as the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) explained, underlining that it is “closely monitoring the situation and stands ready to provide support”.
