A total internet connection, in every corner of the world, without dark areas, with fast coverage even in remote areas of the planet: this is the plan announced by Elon Musk, the billionaire founder of SpaceX, who has started a collaboration with TMobile, one of the largest telecommunications companies in the United States.
Connection thanks to satellites sent into space
From the stage of Boca Chica, Texas, where the SpaceX space base is located, welcomed like a rock star by Mike Sievert, president of TMobile, Musk presented the project that aims to change the history of communication for billions of people. Through the use of satellites sent into space, SpaceX and TMobile promise to guarantee, in a year, direct connection on mobile phones, bypassing servers and providers, without the need for underground cables. Starlink V2 satellite will be used to ensure American consumers can use TMobile-controlled wireless everywhere. The project will start with a series of messaging services by the end of 2023. And, in the future, there should be no more areas that cannot be reached by the connection, even if you are in the middle of a park or in the middle of a lake.
