The revision of the trial of Olindo Romano and Rosa Bazzi would be based on new witnesses but also on environmental interceptions never taken into consideration up to now
The general prosecutor of Milan is working on the Erba massacre after the defense of the spouses Olindo Romano and Rosa Bazzi, definitively sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of Raffaella Castagna, of the only 2-year-old son Youssef Marzouk, of the grandmother of little Paola Galli and her neighbor Valeria Cherubini, has repeatedly attempted to reopen the trial on the events of December 11, 2006.
The revision, announced several times by defender Fabio Schembri, would be based – according to rumors – on new witnesses but also on environmental interceptions never taken into consideration up to now. Elements on which the Attorney General, the case is entrusted to Cuno Tarfusser, has made his considerations contained in a report on which the State Attorney will have to express himself together with the Attorney General. “We can’t talk about a revision, but it’s useless to deny that something is moving,” a source told Adnkronos.
The Romano spouses – at the center of a recent investigation by the television program Le Iene – are serving a life sentence at the Opera and have not set foot outside the prison since the final sentence of April 20, 2010.
