Euro 2032, Italy presents the candidacy: the 10 designated cities

The president of the FIGC Gravina: “Italy’s candidacy dossier for the organization of UEFA Euro 2032 is inspired by a New Renaissance”

The FIGC’s candidacy documentation to host Euro 2032 in Italy has been delivered to UEFA. The Final Bid Dossier is in the hands of UEFA after months of coordinated work: alongside the Federation, the Government, Parliament, Municipalities and other stakeholders.

During the Executive Committee scheduled for 10 October, the venue for the 2028 and 2032 European Championships will be announced. The Turkish federation also presented the candidacy dossier for the 2032 edition.

The cities chosen for the eventual Euro 2032

The Italian cities chosen for the possible final phase of the European Championship in 2032 are: Milan, Turin, Verona, Genoa, Bologna, Florence, Rome, Naples, Bari and Cagliari. Palermo, on the other hand, will continue to be involved in the process supporting the candidacy.

New Renaissance

The FIGC president Gabriele Gravina commented on the Italian candidacy for the 2032 edition of the European football championship: “Italy’s candidacy dossier for the organization of UEFA Euro 2032 is inspired by a New Renaissance”.

Gravina added that the dossier “was created through continuous connections with the territories, on the one hand enhancing their historical and artistic beauties, on the other respecting their impact and sustainability. The dossier is the result of intense work, in which football has once again become an instrument of unity and transversal aggregation, materialized in the adoption of various government, parliamentary and municipal measures, which ennoble our candidacy.

Finally, on the perspective of the future of Italian football, the FIGC president declared: “We have imagined Italy and European football in 10 years’ time, in the knowledge that the positive legacy of such an event will multiply extraordinary opportunities for the entire nation. I thank all the stakeholders involved, who have embraced the project with great enthusiasm and collaborative spirit”.
