Over 12,000 are the actions that will be carried out throughout Europe between 20 and 28 November 2021
Now in its thirteenth edition this year, the European Week for Waste Reduction (Serr) continues to actively involve European citizens, inviting everyone to do their part: over 12 thousand are the actions that will be carried out throughout Europe between 20 and 28 November 2021. And Italy is again one of the most active countries thanks to 4,752 sharesi (almost 1,300 more than in the past edition, which, however, was more affected by the pandemic situation).
A result that makes it possible to bring together citizens, public administrations, companies, associations and schools attentive to environmental issues in a single international awareness campaign. Many are therefore the ‘Circular Communities’, the theme of this edition, which will be activated during Serr 2021: the goal is to push for changes in individual and collective consumption patterns, by varying waste production habits also in virtue of the objectives of the 2030 Agenda.
The important results achieved in terms of diffusion on the Italian territory are due to the commitment of the national promoting committee, which brings together all the different souls of the Serr. The committee is made up of Cni Unesco as a permanent guest, the Ministry of Ecological Transition, Utilitalia, Anvi, the Metropolitan City of Turin, the Sicilian Region, Legambiente, Aica and Erica Soc. Coop. as a technical partner, with the support of Federconsumatori Lazio. The 2021 edition is organized with the contribution of Conai and the Consortia of Cial, Comieco, Corepla, CoReVe, and Ricrea.
