Central to our country’s participation in Expo Dubai was the theme of training, the subject of 123 different initiatives during the semester – from laboratories to international conferences – aimed at students, teachers and researchers from all over the world. Over 4,000 people of 26 different nationalities participated in the 140 educational days. Furthermore, with a vast operation of cultural diplomacy, Italy has brought 180 cultural, entertainment and sport events on the stages of the Expo and inside the Pavilion: 40 major music and dance performances; 22 Forums, workshops and meet & greet with sports champions, including the blue medalists of Tokyo 2020 and the Beijing Winter Olympics; 16 theatrical performances; 56 concerts with 23 artists on weekends dedicated to the public of Expo in ‘Piazza Italia’ and around 30 projections of arthouse films.
