F1 Gp Monaco, Verstappen faster but Ferrari is there

Best time for the Dutchman from Red Bull. Sainz and Leclerc behind him

Max Verstappen’s Red Bull in front on the first day of free practice for the Monaco GP but Ferrari is there. In the first session in Montecarlo the fastest is the Spaniard Carlos Sainz who finishes in 1’13″372 ahead of his compatriot Fernando Alonso (1’13″710) on Aston Martin. Third was the English Lewis Hamilton (1’14″035) with the Mercedes, then the Red Bull of the Mexican Sergio Perez (1’14″038) and the landlord Charles Leclerc (1’14″093) with the other Red Sixth place for Verstappen (1’14″244). Session finished 3′ early due to an accident involving Alexander Albon (Williams), with no consequences for the driver.

Verstappen on Red Bull closed the second free practice in 1’12″462. Behind the Dutchman were the two Ferraris of Leclerc (1’12″527) and Sainz, leader of the first session, who closed the session prematurely for a collision with the barriers: no consequences for him and final third place in 1’12″569. Fourth time for Alonso (1’12″682) who left behind the English Lando Norris (1’12″906) with McLaren and Hamilton (1’12″960) with Mercedes.
